ExelQuests | Regenerative Action Curriculum

Curriculum & Learning Structure

A 28-week journey in regenerative thinking and real-world action

Why 28 Weeks

Regenerative change is slow and observable — a shorter Quest can only research and propose; this length lets learners actually run something and gather real before/after evidence. 28 weeks divides cleanly into five genuine phases rather than a rushed sequence, and stops short of a full 30+ week commitment that risks fatigue for an independent online model.

Presenting is not a bolt-on — it is one of the most important parts of learning. The final two weeks are a core, non-negotiable phase: every learner showcases their real-world impact and reflects on what continues after the Quest ends.

Programme Format

  • • Weekly 1-hour live session (or catch-up recording), plus independent field work
  • • 28 weeks across five phases: Realize, Innovate, Strategize, Execute, Legacy & Showcase
  • • A Journey Map for weekly reflection, audits, and evidence
  • • A Weekly Parent/Guide covering that week's focus, a conversation starter, and safety notes

Cross-Curricular Integration

Regenerators embeds core academic subjects inside real-world regenerative work

Science

Ecology, systems thinking, energy, the water cycle, biology, environmental science, biodiversity

Maths

Tracking and graphing impact data, budgeting a project, measurement, ratios, timeline scheduling

Language & Literacy

Research writing, interview questions, persuasive pitching, reflective journaling, presentation scripting

Creativity & Design

Prototyping, campaign materials, visual storytelling (video, art, photography), design-thinking iteration

Social & Global Understanding

The 28-Week Journey

Five phases, each building on the last, from systems literacy to a real-world showcase

By The End, Learners Say...

✓I can explain what makes a system regenerative rather than merely sustainable
✓I can trace where my food, water, energy, or belongings really come from
✓I can identify a real problem in a system near me and find its root cause
✓I can research and evaluate real-world solutions using credible evidence
✓I can design and test a project that responds to a genuine need
✓I can plan a project with a timeline, resources, and a risk plan
✓I can carry out a real-world action safely and responsibly
✓I can track and evaluate the impact of my own project
✓I can communicate my learning and my project's story to others
✓I can reflect on setbacks and adapt my plan
✓I can connect a local action to a bigger global system or issue

The Final Showcase

Learners present live, or submit a recorded showcase to the ExelAcademy gallery — following one arc

1

The Problem

What was broken, and why it mattered

2

The Journey

What they learned and how the plan changed

3

The Action

What they actually did

4

The Impact

Evidence of what changed

5

What's Next

Who or what carries this forward
